In lamho ke daaman mein (In the intimacy of these moments)

In lamho ke daaman mein, paakeza se rishtey hain
(In the intimacy of these moments, there are some pure relationships)

Koi kalma mohabbat ka, dohratay farishtay hain
(The angels are reiterating the spiritual song of love)

Khamosh si hain zameen, hairaan sa falak hain
(There is a silence in the land, the sky is amazed)

Ek noor hi noor sa ab aasaman talak hain
(There is a radiance right upto the skies)

Nagme hi nagme hain jaagti soti fizaon mein
(There is melody in the active and asleep surroundings)
Husn hain saari adaaon mein
(There is beauty in all your grace)
Ishq hain jaisi hawaon mein
(There is love in the air)

Kaisa yeh Ishq hain, kaisa yeh khwab hain
(What kind of love is this? What kind of dream is this?)

Kaise jazbaat ka umda sailaab hai
(What kind of a flood of emotions have gushed in?)

Din badley, raatein badli, baatein badli, jeene ke andaaz hi badle hain
(The days have changed, nights have changed, conversations changed, the mode of life has changed)

In lamho ke daman mein, pakeeza se rishtay hain
(In the intimacy of these moments, there are some pure relationships)

Koi kalma mohabbat ka, dohratay farishtay hain
(The angels are reiterating the spiritual songof love)

Jodha’s lines:

Hmmm, samay ne yeh kya kiya, ho…badal di hain kaya
(What has time done to us, it has changed my flesh/skin)

Tumhe maine pa liya, mujhe tumne paaya
(I have found you, you have found me)

Miley dekho aise hain hum, ke do sur ho jaise madham, koi zyaada na koi kum kisi raag mein
(We have met like as if two harmonies meet of a rythmn, neither high nor low)
Ke prem aag mein, jalte dono ki hai tan bhi hain man bhi, man bhi hain tan bhi
(As if in the flames of passion, both burn our body and soul, soul and body)

Akbar’s lines:
Mere khwabon ke is gulistaan mein, tumse hi to bahar chayee hain
(In the garden of my dreams/reverie, you have brought the beautiful springtime)

Phoolon mein rang mere they lekin, in mein khushboo tumhi se aayi hain
(The flowers have my colours, but the fragrance is from you)

Kyu hain yeh aarzoo, kyu hai yeh justju
(Why do these desires exist, why does this search lives on?)

Kyu dil bechain hain, kyu dil betaab hain
(Why is the heart so impatient, why is it so impulsive?)

Din badley, raatein badli, baatein badli, jeene ke andaaz hi badle hain
((The days have changed, nights have changed, conversations changed, the mode of life has changed)

In lamho ke daaman mein, paakeza se rishtey hain
(In the intimacy/companionship of these moments, there are some pure relationships)

Koi kalma mohabbat ka, dohratay farishtay hain…..
(The angels are reiterating the spiritual songof love)

p.s. Kalma means Beginning of a verse in Quran, implying a spiritual/holy song

Thanks Lo, This is my most favorite song, it consummates their love.

The reason why Im giving these lyrics is because of the deep meaning not many people are able to comprehend or understand the songs. As a result all say that they wont buy the album becos they didnot like it.

I hope these meaning of songs will compel u to buy the CDs, only if you listen and understand them, Its the most beautiful creations ever. Dont missout on this music guys. Its like once in a lifetime music.

I will slowly translate each and every song for you guys.

Man Mohana (O lord Krishna)

Man mohana, man mohana
(O lord Krishna)

Kanha suno na, tum bin paaon kaise chain
(Oh lord Krishna listen, how do I find peace without you?)

Tarsoo tumhi ko din rain
(I crave for you day and night)

Chodke apne kashi mathura
(Leave your Kashi mathura behind)
Aake baso more nain
(And come and dwell in my eyes)

Tum bin paaon kaise chain
(How do I find peace without you?)

Tarsoo tumhi ko din rain
(I crave for you day and night)

Verse 1

Ik pal ujiyaara aaye, ik pal andhiyara chaye
(One instant its is brightness, the other moment its all darkness)
Man kyu na ghabraye, kaise na ghabraye
(Why wont the heart fear, how wouldn’t it be anxious)

Man jo koi doraha apni raho mein paaye
(When the mind is on the crossroads)
Koun disha jaaye? Tum bin koun samjhaye
(Which path to follow? Who other than you would explain?)

Raas rachaiyya vrindavan ke gokul ke vaasi
(The dancer, the one who resides in the vrindavan(Forest) of gokul)

Radha tumhri daasi
(Radha is your servant)

Darshan ko hai pyaasi
(Shes craving to see you)

Verse 2
Shyam salone nandlala Krishna banva ri
(The dark skinned, lovely , soulful Krishna)
Tumhri chab hai nyaari
(Your form is gorgeous)

Main to hoon tan man haari
(I have surrenderd my body and soul)

Man mohana man mohana
(O lord krishna. O lord Krishna)

Kanha suno na tum bin paaon kaise chain
(Oh lord listen, how do I find peace without you?)

Tarsoo tumhi ko din rain
(I crave for you day and night)

Verse 3
Jeevan ik nadiyaa hain, lehro lehro behti jaaye
(Life is a river, its waves flow on and on)

Is mein man ki naiyya doobey kabhi tar jaaye
(The heart’s ship sometimes gets drowned sometimes it is saved)

Tum na khevaiyya ho to koi tat kaise paaye
(If you are not the guide, then how will one reach their destination)

Majhdhaar dehlaaye, toh tumri sharan aaye
(If the waves get turbulent, then we come in your refuge)

Main hoon tumhari, hain tumhara mera yeh jeevan
(Im yours, and my life is yours)
Tumko hi dekhoon main, dekhoon koi darpan
(I see only you in every reflection)
Bansi ban jaaongi, in hoton ki ho jaaongi
(I’ll become a flute and belong to these lips of yours)
In sapno se jalthal hain mera man aangan
(In the flood of these dreams, lie my heart's territory)

Thanks alot Smita.

I think it would be great to open new topics on each song, give its translation and than we can discuss in there about the song.
That would be great rather than talk around each other.

Just a thought

Khwajaji, khwaja
(O saint khwaja)

Khwajaji, khwaja, khwaja ji
(O saint khwaja) ; (O saint khwaja)

Ya gharib nawaz
(The one who cherishes/soothes the poor)

Ya moinuddin, ya khwaja ji
(O moinuddin chisti), (O khwaja saint)

Khwaja mere khwaja
(O saint khwaja)

Dil mein sama ja
(Reside in my heart)

Shaho ka shah tu
(You are the king of kings)

Ali ka dulara
(Ali's beloved)

Khwaja mere khwaja dil mein sama ja
(O saint khwaja); (Reside in my heart)

Beqaso ki taqdeer, tune hai sawari
(The destiny of the ones in despair, you have changed for the better)

Khwaja mere khwaja
(O saint khwaja)

Tere darbar mein khwaja
(At your door, o khwaja)

Door toh hai dekha
(Ive seen it from far)

Sar jhuka te hai auliya
(Your confidents/protectors/confessors bow down to you)

Tu hai Hindalwali khwaja
(You are the hindalwali Khwaja)

Rutba hai pyara
(Your status is glorious/great)

Chahne se tujhko khwaja ji mustafa ko paya
(By wishing/worshipping you Khwaja, I have found muhammed [the chosen one])

Khwaja mere khwaja
(O saint khwaja)

Dil mein sama ja
(Reside in my heart)

Shaho ka shah tu
(You are the king of kings)

Ali ka dulara
(Ali’s beloved)

Mere peer ka sadka
(The alms of my old age)

Hai mere peer ka sadka
(It is the charity of my old age)

Tera daaman hai thama
(That I have come in your refuge)

Khawajaji

Tali har bala humari
(All my problems/crisis have been averted)

Chaya hai khumar tera
(Your trance is all over me)

Jitna bhi rashk kare beshak
(No matter how much one may envy(rashk) be jealous)

Toh kam hai ae mere khwaja
(Its just too less, o khwaja)

Tere kadmo ko mere rehnuma nahi chodna gawara
(Its not acceptable(gawara) , o my guide(rehnuma), to leave your feet(kadmo)now.)

Khwaja mere khwaja
(O saint khwaja)

Dil mein sama ja
(Reside in my heart)

Shaho ka shah tu
(You are the king of kings)

Ali ka dulara
(Ali’s beloved)

Khwaja mere khwaja dil mein sama ja
(O saint khwaja); (Reside in my heart)

Beqaso ki taqdeer, tune hai sawari
(The destiny of the ones in despair, you have changed for the better)

great job again smita! ... but just another correction:

Ali Ka dulara ...does not mean "Allah's favorite or beloved"..
It means Ali's favorite or beloved..which is in reference to 'Hazrat Ali Hussain' ...who was the grandson of Muhammad.
As we all know how muslims are observing the month of 'Moharram' these days all over the world..which is also in regards to Hazrat Ali.

So..the song could not be any more timely! Smile

Excellent job Smita!

No ancalgary, not at all.

Hazrat ali hussain maybe grandson of muhammed. But this song sings glory of Khwaja moinuddin chisti, so the singer says that the khwaja is Allah's dulaara(beloved). He is not talking about another prophet hazrat ali.

Ali is a variant of Allah.Original name meaning.

Well you can take it either way; cos if u heard ya ali song, the singer refers to Allah not any hazrat ali.

Smita, if you ask any muslim about this..they will tell you that your reasoning is not correct. Allah has ninety nine names in Islam, and Ali is not one of them! Whenever you hear any of the songs like 'ya ali' etc... these are in regards to hazrat ali. Because, he is greatly regarded in the religion ...especially in the the shiite sect of muslims ... Ali is of pristine value! ..hence all those qawalis and devotional songs in the name of Ali.

This song is in regards to the great Khwaja moin udin chisti...and if you read up on him, he was a great admirer of Ali, hence the writer is calling 'Ali ka dulara' ... or Ali's beloved.

Anyway, this is coming from history books, and many muslims from themselves. At the end, I guess its your personal translation and interpretation, and I guess we should take it with a grain of salt.
No worries ... Smile
