No one around me is aware of the film called Jodhaa Akbar. How many around u r aware of the film?

And what about the promo? How many of u have actually seen the promo in the theatres, where n what theatre? I saw Saawariya yesterday in Delhi but the promo wasnt there.

The way things r going right now is really annoying me. Theres just no initial buzz about the film and I am really really really very worried. I tried 3 times to catch the promo but failed to catch it coz none of the major cinema halls in my city had the promo. What the hell am I suppose to do now? After giving big big newspaper ads last month about the promo releasing on 12th Nov. major cinema halls in Delhi didnt show the promo. You guys were fooling us or what? I am a Hrithik fan n being a dedicated fan I have tried my best. I have already tried 3 times now what more u guys want us to do??? I am loosing it by the day.

Is anyone from the JA team even listenning?

Not many people know about the movie though.....at least there are some bollywood illiterate people around me who are thinking that probably Hrithik and Ashutosh have retired from the industry.

We still have over 2 months for the release. Don't panic yet.
I think once the music releases you'll see the buzz. ARR's music does that for a movie.

ya, ppl around me don't know much about Jodhaa-Akbar, simply coz in my city, no theater is showing its Promo.

Yesterday, i showed the promo to my friends from Delhi, Bangalore and Jaipur (came for Diwali vacations), and even they saw it first time.

So UTV should start showing the promo on TV now, coz in theaters, they are not showing it.

i saw d promo while watching jab we met .. even though i did like it .. d audience reaction ws far frm pleasing .. also when u r making a movie aimed at international audience .. u shud act a bit sensible .. d promo was shwn with no specific movie .. there has been various cases whr hrithik-ash fans went to c d promo n didnt get 2 c it .. (when bhool bhuliayaa released ..)..

also in d website it ws said tht d promo ws best enjoyed in d theatre .. agreed .. bt whn u DO hve the sense to understand tht d promo is BEST enjoyed in theatres then wht in d world does explain d worthless quality of d promo in d official website ..

also d trailor with english subtitiles isnt even complete ... r u guys kidding or wht ?? theres many people in dis forum who cn manage d site better than hw u hve been doing it .

n again , dis forum ... it takes 2 seconds to make a forum like this .. bt when u r trying to pull in audiences , dnt u think u shud pay enough attention to d way d forum is put ..visually !!! .. get a better skin for gods sake !!!

The reason I have know about this movie is because I am a huge Hrithik fan and quite active in the Bollywood forums across the net. However, majority of the people who don't visit movie sites/forums don't know about the movie.

UTV has to start aggressively promoting it starting November 27(when the soundtrack is rumored to release) , its better to start early these days. Please have Hrithik and Aish both at the music launch, if there is going to be one.

Having showcase the trailer to the media was a good idea but majority of the audiences could not catch the promo in theaters due to the fact of it being an "independent" release. I would advice UTV to attach it with other movies so people can watch it all over, irrespective of what cinema hall.

all the friends of mine and the people here are great fans of hrithik so they managed to see trailer in movie halls(chennai) and lot of time in youtube with poor quality and 50 +times in website after release. I feel if the people in whole world are like this then no promotion needed

Yes exactly!

I called up UTV office 2 months back asking about the promo. They dont even have decent telephone operators. I told them ki why isnt UTV releasing the promo perperly in the theatres.. no ones aware of the film. They said u calling here proves ppl know about the film and thats what I told him... I know about the film coz I am a huge Hrithik fan. I keep a track on his news, films n all from the internet.. forums. No one around me knows even the name of the film forget about the promos.
UTV is too slow with the promotion.

I agree with you guys. This is a huge movie and by now it's promos should be everywhere. Period movies need extensive promotion even if they have big stars in it. People aren't readily in a mood to watch a biographical drama. You need to tune them in with the songs and promos. A movie like this needs huge promotions and lots of TV Ads. If the movie is releasing on 25th Jan 2008, the promos should've started appearing on the TV now.

There is still almost 2 months left, and at this relatively early promotional stage one cannot expect the general audience to be aware. Let the **** television and radio promotion start, everyone will be talking about only Jodhaa Akbar.

Agreed... And they literally JUST truly wrapped the movie, thus the creators have been distracted; they'll probably be ready to concentrate on promotion more in the upcoming weeks!

on the contrary... in pune every multiplex has the JA posters, people actually stands infront of the hoardings n discuss it... i have seen it many times... when i go to any movie...
Even though promo hvnt been shown... posters r creating the buzz n being a hrithik movie, every youngster already knows about the movie...
u all might b worried abt promotions cause of OSO promotions strategy... OSO is promoted hugely n mostly in its last couple of months of release...
so wait for sometime guys... JA fever will also catch all!!!
